Youth Programs Student Experiences

My name is Jenni Gomez and I am from Laketown, UT.  I went to Rich High School, where I had my first experience with AHEC.  I was able to participate in heart dissections, which AHEC provided.  That was the first experience that made me know I wanted to go into the medical field.  I later attended AHEC's summer camp.  The camp was amazing and opened my eyes to many new opportunities and careers.  Ever since the camp I have had my heart set on starting a career in Radiology.  I looked into the Radiology program with help from the AHEC staff.  AHEC has guided me in every direction that I needed to go.  I am currently enrolled at Weber State and will apply for the Radiology program this spring.  My goal is to go through the Radiology Tech. program and then specialize in Ultrasonography.  I owe a lot to AHEC because they have helped me get to where I am today.
